Your health insurance may cover the cost of therapy
If you have private health insurance, you may be able to access psychological therapy through your cover.
I am an approved therapist with AXA Health, Aviva and WPA, and provide online therapy for adults experiencing trauma, anxiety and ADHD, subject to your insurer's authorisation and the terms of your policy.
I aim to make the process as straightforward as possible, so you can focus on getting the support you need.

How does therapy through insurance work?
Accessing therapy through your health insurance is usually straightforward.
-
Check your cover
Contact your insurance provider to check whether your policy includes mental health or psychological therapy.
Your insurer can explain what your policy covers, whether you need a GP referral and whether there are any limits on the number of sessions or types of treatment available.
It is important to check this before starting therapy, as cover varies between policies.
-
Get your authorisation
If your policy covers therapy, your insurer will usually provide you with an authorisation or pre-authorisation number.
They may also confirm how many sessions have been approved and any requirements you need to meet. Keep your authorisation details available when you contact me.
-
Get in touch with me
When you contact me, let me know that you would like to access therapy through AXA Health, Aviva or WPA.
I'll ask for the relevant information from your insurer so that we can make sure the practical arrangements are in place before your therapy begins.
-
Start your therapy
Once your insurance authorisation is confirmed, we'll arrange your initial appointment.
We'll begin by understanding what has brought you to therapy, what you'd like to change and what approach is likely to be most helpful. Depending on your needs, therapy may involve CBT, EMDR, ACT or adapted CBT for ADHD.
Sessions are delivered online so you can access therapy from anywhere in the UK.
